Gynecomastia

The treatment of gynecomastia, also called female-pattern breast enlargement, is not as difficult as it seems.

Although the main cause of gynecomastia is hormone imbalance, it can also be caused by factors such as overweight and obesity.

There are three main types: glandular, mixed type, lipomatous. While real breast tissue provides growth in glandular type, fat tissue increase in lipomatous type. In the mixed state, there is both an increase in breast tissue and an increase in adipose tissue.
In many cases, the treatment is surgery. The operation takes about 1.5 hours. The patient can be discharged on the same day, and in some cases, it may be requested to stay for 1 night.
